Mathematical Investigations Key Stage 3 and 4 (a copiable resource) contains 18 structured mathematical investigations suitable for pupils aged 11-16 to prepare students for investigations in the Mathematics curriculum. 

These projects start with very structured activities to familiarise students with the process and thinking of investigation, and ends with more open-ended tasks very similar to what used to be GCSE coursework tasks.

As a bonus the activities promote lateral thinking and inventiveness of thought, and help students to be logical and systematic in their approach to problem solving.
