In and Out of Script offers comprehensive strategies for work in script plus a wealth of photocopiable lesson material. There are 14 modules in the book, ranging from warm up exercises through playscript starters to complete scenes to act out. It is written for teachers working with GCSE Drama students but the material can be used at Key Stage 3 or with students going on beyond GCSE. The book focuses on encouraging students, working through oral rather than literary techniques, to: - develop their own scripts in order to understand how
drama works
- explore the relationship between what characters
feel and what they say.
Working with script in this way also offers opportunities for improvisation and the book shows how the two techniques are interwoven.
